ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Orlando will be hosting one of the largest gatherings of Latino leaders next year.
The National Council of La Raza said Wednesday it had chosen Orlando for its annual conference in 2016.
La Raza officials say Orlando was picked because it has one of the fastest-growing Latino communities in the nation and is located in the nation’s largest swing state, when it comes to presidential politics.
The conference will take place at the Orange County Convention Center. The conference also includes a Latino Family Expo.
